Marche Funèbre: To drown
21/06/11 || Lord K Philipson
This recording starts with a riff for the intro that basically every band in the world have used at some point. And to use it for 2 and a half minutes is just fucken retarded. Way to get things going… What is sad though is that said intro is the highlight since it’s the shortest composition on this album of what could be described as poor man’s doom metal. Naturally we are lucky enough to have a vocalist who can’t sing for shit to make matters worse. The growl works somewhat, but those clean vocals… I don’t think so. Sure, the occasional not-completely-sucky riff appears, but when you have 10+ minute songs all over the place and 99% of the stuff in them fucken suck it big time – this is bound to be yet another band who just won’t cut it in the big world.
2,5/10: Few bands can do doom metal properly. This is not one of them.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
